I have tried several things to replace those rubber bushings. The rally car has thin sheet alum. cut to size and "wrapped" around the D-shapped portion of the rack. I'm sure it transmits some vibration but with the hockey pucks we run for motor mounts it's hard to tell...:) On my street 99 I cut some poly mudflap material off the rall car, it's about 1/8 thick and pretty dense, but forms well, and used that for both the round and D-shaped bushing. I've been running that for about 4 months and just took about 1 1/2 turns on the nuts the other night. No more slop in steering, and I can't feel anything nasty as far as vibration.
