I've been using the OMP springs in my '85 SPG for probably 3 or so years now and I think they're awesome. I've never tried the SAS springs and I don't know for sure what kind they are, although I think I heard they were from Sweden and since B&G springs are made in Sweden I'd guess that the SAS springs might be made by B&G.
B&G springs are also supposed to be quite good.

My experience with the OMP springs is that they're a much higher quality than the brand new stock SPG springs I had in my car for a little while before I got the OMP springs. The OMPs are a much stiffer spring but they seem to take the bumps less harshly as the SPG springs but I don't think they're progressive (which I don't like). In all, I've found that the OMP springs are a good buy, a good ride (for a stiff, sport spring), and really improve the handling.

I have a set of old Suspension Techniques springs that I'm going to put on my 99T when I put it back together. If I don't like them I might try the B&G springs. But that won't be for a while so I won't be able to offer a comparison for some time.

As for spring seats: you need them in the fronts, they hold the spring to the a-arm ;-) I've never replaced the bushings and after 215K miles on one of my cars they still look good. The rears just use those rubber seats that goes between the body and spring and between the control arm and spring. I'd leave them because they probably only lift the rear of the car 1/8".
