900 axle in a 99 - Now I know that >>>>

I have now laid out the 900 axle and sway bar to go in my '76 99 EMS. It is obvious that the trailing arms must be changed, as the mounts on the 900 axle are much closer together than those on the 99. The trailing arms are very similar but they 'trail' back to a totally different point than the 99's. I held the sway bar up to judge if it would work with the 99 arms, and the axle mounting points are much to far apart to mount the sway bar. So, to do this swap you will need the axle, trailing arms and shocks. The sway bar needs to have all four bolts that go with it, as they are significantly longer. So my plan to do a quick swap to see how the rear bar effected autocross handling will be put off, and I will do it right with all parts cleaned and repainted. Does anyonr know if my 99 rear Bilsteins will work on my 96 or Sonett?
