Everything fomocojo says I'd agree with. If the car is too cheap and there looks like there's a lot obviously needing done then there'll be loads that isn't obvious too. Saying that, it's still possible to get a cheap one that isn't a heap. They are a lot of fun to drive, given their contemporaries and yes owning one of the first of something like that is nice. I've had 3, of varying prices and the cheapest one ended up being the best one - but it had been the most expensive one bought by a friend a few years previously. If it starts well from hot AND cold and gets down the road OK without any real dramas, crabbing, cutting-out, billowing smoke, petrol smells etc., then you should be fine. Buy the best one you can afford with the best history, it will more than repay the investment compared to the agro of a bad example.
Enjoy, and let TSN know how you get on and how long it took to get the smile off your face!
:)
