yep, i got some help on the performance forum that got the ball rolling. my familiarity with the haltech system being used for a turbo application, comes from an acquaintence of mine named zane coker. he owns an '80 BMW 528i whose engine compartment looks like the image below. in an old configuration prior to some recent modifications, the engine put out over 600bhp. from the day i saw this setup, i was dead set on working on a similar system. the saab seems the best application for it. i had always wanted to do the turbo/haltech system on one of my bimmers, but the saab is far more suited to it with saab's tradition of forced induction and bmw's known snafu's with their attempts at using turbochargers. too bad it's not my car when it's done ;-(.
