Hello all,
I am in the process of extracting my lock cylinder out of my 1975 99. Its a standard transmission and I am a bit lost...
I have ripped up the carpeting and taken off the center console and have taken off all the ignition wires and mounting screws...so now I have a bare gear lever housing. The only thing holding the housing in the car is the shifter linkage that goes into the engine compartment. How do I revove this to take out the housing? The service manual states that I should remove a taper pin from the joint between the gear shift rod and the heater ducts...... if this is true.. where is this pin?
I am using a Service manual with the bright orange cover, 1975-1977, on page 432-3
Thank you for your time and help,
It would be great if I could get the car running by tomorrow,
DAnH
