A rebuilt transmission is around $2,200. It's a very tedious & labor intensive project as the entire engine/trans has to be removed. Plan on a few extra bucks as other items may be found, i.e. drivers side motor mount, upper control arm bushings. I personally believe that most of the cars in the boneyard are a result of bad transmissions. Good luck.
