Looking for Good East Bay C900 Mechanic Posted by Randy Thatcher [Email] (#22) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Randy Thatcher) on Tue, 18 Nov 2003 23:40:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have 2 C900's and I'm new to the east bay. I'm used to doing most of the work on the car myself, but I don't have a garage now.
My 1990 SPG may need a new valve cover gasket. This should be a simple job, but I don't want to get hosed by a place that will try to zing me with a $250 bill for a $100 job. I also need to start a relationship with a shop I trust as I have 2 cars to keep on the road.
I work in Pleasanton and Fremont, live in Emeryville (until January), then I'll live in Castro Valley. My wife goes to school in Berkeley. What are the reputable shops in the east bay that get consistantly good reviews for being fair, honest, and very good?
I've looked at the TSN Mechanic's lists and see the following. How do they stack up? Any others I should consisder?
