Sorry to hear about your father, Jason. Hope things work out better than they sound.

Thanks Bruce and John for your insight into the caravan-thing, as I know there are inherent problems with the concept - just hadn't experienced them for myself. We plan to travel around 70 mph for the most part : good enough to make some time, not illegal enough to alert the state troopers of out-of-state Potential Revenue Sources. We will push the speed to 75 - or even 80 - if we can follow someone willing to run interference and take the hit from the radar guns - preferably a non-Saab not going to the SOC '03. :) That little strategy just worked perfectly at the NE SOG '03 at Sturbridge : driving up from CT., I let a Hyundai lead the way at 75 - and he got bagged on radar about 5 miles from the MA. border. I thanked him as we drove by, but he didn't hear me as he was too busy with that license-and-registration thing . . .

Our schedule remains the same, and we will still stop at the spots Jason listed in his itinerary at around his suggested times. If we meet up with some fellow Saaber's - so be it ; if not, we'll continue on solo, although we do hope that won't be the case for the entire trip.

Look forward to seeing our many NE Saab friends - starting with John and Susan and Bruce and Don - and hope to meet many more new ones from all over. See ya'll there. Enjoy the trip.
