Chris, depends on how much of a DIY'er you are? Do you have the Saab Secure warranty? If so you might be covered.
If not, the shift console and center stack are held in by snap fastners and 2 screws. So you'd have to remove the center stack cover to get to the "silver box" behind the nav screen to remove the unit which needs rebuilding.
unitedradio.com is the place in NY. You can call the number and talk to a rep. From what I've heard, I think the repair is in the $600 range. They won't quote you a price, but will diagnose it for $65, then tell you a price.
