14" of snow fell over the last couple of days in eastern Nebraska. My new to me 97 900 SE came with brand new Blizzaks mounted. I have been getting around great. I can go up any hill including my steep driveway. The only trouble I have had is with other drivers getting stuck in front of me. I was planning to purchase all season tires with good snow handling, but can I let these Blizzaks go? They have a negative effect on my gas mileage, they are noisy, and rumble a bit. I think some all seasons can provide good snow traction, but can they get close to the Blizzaks? My wife's new Beetle has brand new Michelin MXV4's and could not get up our driveway. I get up with no problem. Please share your snow stories, I know you east coast guys are getting hit as bad as we are.
