If your cable is fine as you say, it sounds like you may have a broken clutch fork, or a broken pressure plate. Only way to tell is to take it apart and see.
If you end up replacing the clutch and associated parts, make sure you replace the engine rear crankshaft seal, and also the transmission input seal while you are in there.
