I added a wood dash to my wife's '97 900S convt last year. After checking out the after market kits, which have pieces to cover almost everything on the dash, on the web and looking at one installed in a car we decided the "complete" kit was a a bit over the top for our tastes. I wound up going with the Saab panel kit from eEuro. This is one piece self adhesive wood veneer which covers most of the panel but leaves the area of the radio and SID uncovered. You do not have as many choices of wood types & finishes with the OEM kit and it is bit more $'s than just the panel from an after market supplier but I thought there might be less risk of a low quality part. Installation was no problem and we have been happy the results, still like the way it looks after 1 year. I would probably do it exactly the same way again (unless I develop a taste for a more exotic wood type or carbon fiber).
