Hi rodel,
OK, so you just had the oil changed, & you've got no time to do anything with it yourself right now. The easiest, cheapest, BESTest thing you could do is buy at least two bottles of Auto-Rx (three would probably be better in the long run, & a bit cheaper cost-per-bottle) & add the necessary ounces for the amount of oil you've got. Then, you don't have to do ANYTHING for AT LEAST another 1500 miles. A-Rx has been said to work better in regular dino oil anyway.
The reason I say get at least two bottles is because I'd recommend leaving it in for much longer than that. At least 3000 miles, & 5000 miles if you can stand it. You'll need to change you oil filter at least once, & you'll need to add additional A-Rx when you top up for the oil you'll lose. But it'll have a better chance to do its work this way.
After that, you can get your oil changed & refilled with some version of a HDD oil. Saab's own oils (both the 5W-30 syn blend & the 0W-30 full syn) are HDD formulations, & the extra detergent/dispersant & anti-wear additives will continue Auto-Rx's cleaning process & keep things clean afterwards. For this engine, I'd use Shell's Rotella T synthetic 5W-40 all year round. It's XHVI Group III base oil should hold up well for any change interval up to 10,000 miles for you. It's also got a better High Temperature/High Shear rating than either of Saab's oils.
After that, you'll probably want to use the leftover A-Rx for other cleaning applications. I've already used it in two C900 manual trannies with great results, have it running in two C900 N/A engines, & am about to put it in a third engine (our turbo).
