Yeah, the oil I'd recommend over all others would be Mobil 1 15W-50. But that would require your climate to be moderate (above freezing) in the winter.
After that, I'd say Mobil's Delvac 1 5W-40 would be a neck-&-neck second choice. It's got the same kind of beefed-up additive package as Saab's own oils, but has better high temperature & high shear protection. As an option to the elusive & expensive Delvac 1, Mobil now sells Mobil 1 "truck & SUV" 5W-40 oil. It appears to be very similar to Delvac 1, but I haven't seen any analysis done on it yet to verify that suspicion. As a bonus, these two oils would offer extra cleaning for the inside of your engine.
The oil I'd recommend for minimum protection any Saab turbo engine would be Mobil 1 0W-40. It has a great additive package & the ability stand up to the tremendous heat & shearing created in our turbos.
