Dean - thx for the help. Switchpack got spilt on last summer, and I used electrical cleaner to free things back up. Sunroof switch was the one that still stuck occasionally after the cleaning. #1 son just informed me that the power went out to the circuit when he was closing the sunroof, and he had to manually close it with the key. (I wish he'd remember everything when I ask him - sigh.. :-) ).
Anyway, I'm tending to think it is in the switchpak (or the wiring leading up to the pack - I could remove the switchpak and see if it still blows a fuse. That way I'd know if it was something leading to the pak or if it doesn't blow it'd be internal to the pak itself. Sounds like a plan.
New switchpaks are about $230 on eEuroparts and thesaabsite.com. There's a used one on eBay now for like $50 starting (buy it now for $90) - I could also try goldwing or other local bone yards - just don't wanna buy into another person's problem - may try another cleaning.....
One question - can a short in the pak cause a 30 amp fuse to blow? Hmm..
