That will change your speedo by 4.2%, and your acceleration by the same amount.
tire size revs per mile
195/60 15 867
215/60 15 832
There really are not any good substitutes for this in that tire. The tire wear rating of 760 is scary. When you increase the tire section by 10%, you need to reduce the aspect ratio by the same, so you would be seeking an aspect ratio of 0.9 x 60 = 54. There are no 55 aspect ratios in this tire for 15" rims.
Yes they 'channel' the water out of the tread but they will still have poor wet and dry traction. And they will last a long time, ensuring that the age hardening can make things all the worse. If you want good handling, you need good traction. This tire is way too hard.
I think that the MXV4 would be a better tire with a wear rating of 300.
To get better handing, you need a lower profile tire, and a 'sporty' or performance tire. A tire section of 60 is way to balloony. Putting in a taller tire on the same rim will not help, you get more sidewall height.
You could get a Kumho ECSTA 711 215/55-15 for $50 each. Wear rating of 320. See pix. That tread pattern looks like it would give some all-seasons a run for their money.
Some find the hydroedges noisy too.
Choosing tires is not easy. Review whats available in 215/55-15 sizes. In 16" rims you would have a better choice if you are after better handling.
If you stick to 15" rims, try higher tire pressures and evaluate that for handling.
Otherwise, the NG900 has some built in suspension problems. Your shocks and mounts might be a problem if worn and damaged. A SAS rear sway bar at $125 is a lot of bang for your buck.
