I did this myself about 3 months ago. Saabsite sell a kit (although I did not get my kit from there) for about US$410. You need an engine support beam to take the engine weight while you lower the subframe - you can also use a engine hoist, but the beam is cheaper if you're buying as opposed to renting.

"Popping' the control arms from the base of the strut support assembly is the trickiest part of the job - it helps that the control arms are being replaced, as you don't have to worry about damaging the ball joint gaiters. There are posts on this site that explain the various different approaches that folks have taken.

While upgrading the suspension, I took the opportunity to overhaul the spring / strut assembly, as its easily accessible at this point - I put in new struts, new mounts, and new thrust bearings. I also took the opportunity to press out the wheel bearings and put in new ones. I had to get a machine shop to press these out, my 5T home press wasn't up to the job and the assembly shape is awkward to handle without a jig.

A bit of brute force is required to get the new stanchion arms to fit. When you initially put them in, they just don't look as though they will fit to both the subframe and the control arms. I found that it helped to place a jack under the control arm to lift it up (i.e. simulate normal road loads) - this made it much easier to fit the stanchion arms into the subframe.

If rust is a problem in you area, expect seized bolts. Plenty of Liquid Wrench is required. A breaker bar is a must for removing the main hub / axle nuts.

All in all, not too difficult a job, but time consuming. Handling is much improved on my '94 SET coupe, but how much of this is due to the upgrade and how much is due to new bushings, struts, mounts, etc. is difficult to tell.
