The resistance of the plugs changes as they wear out. The 2.0L Turbo is kinda hard on plugs! I change mine every 15,000 and my DI is going strong at 125,000! If you can keep the resistance of the plugs about even, the unit should last a long time--so change them frequently--only about 1.50 per plug, and you will also notice better performance. Did you know the DI also cleans the plugs at every shutdown--thats really the cause of most problems--high voltage running throught the DI to perform the cleaning!
