You can manually get the codes out yourself by connecting pins 7 and 16, then connecting a momentary switch to pin 6 and earth, turn ignition on,wait for self check to finish , earth pin 6, then release switch when CEL begins to flash and count the flashes. Pulling fuse 28,(motronic) for at least 5 mins should clear the codes. And I have done this to a 95 900S as well with no probs.
