My Kumho 712's are finally ready for pasture, and I'm trying to figure out their replacement. I know that this topic has been covered ad nauseum, but I cannot seem to get straight advice for myself searching the forums... so I ask the collective knowledge for specific, simple advice.
I've got a 98 900s turbo coupe. Original 15" wheels are now used for snows (Hakka Q's) and i have a set of 16" vikings that currently have the Kumho's. The Kumho's are done, and it's almost time to swap (Boston)... so the q is what to get.
I like the Bridgestone S-03, but they're a bit pricey ($145 ea for 205-50-16). I've also seen mention of the Bridgestone RE750 -- those are promising. But, there are also a set of tires more in the $80 range... Yokohama, Sumitomo, Kumho (again).
I'm doing mostly short drives these days, with some long trips in there. They'll end up doing less than 8k a year, esp with the snows.
Thanks,
Ken
