1994 900 S V6 141,600mi
NOTE: I have no connections to Bosch, just an interest in saving money.
I replaced an old oxygen sensor in my 1994 900 S V6 last weekend with a Bosch universal. I can't vouch for other brands of universal sensors (NGK or NTK, Walker, etc.). They may work but there are a few cautionary posts about such sensors in the NG900 archives.
Genuine Saab part is just a Bosch sensor in a Saab box. Genuine Saab list price: $277.
Bosch sensor w/OEM plug 'n play connector (the exact same Saab part), Bosch P/N 13370. cheapest online price for this I found was $140.
BoschUsa.com website showed that a Bosch universal sensor, Bosch P/N 15735, would fit. Cheapest online price for this I found was $82.50 so I thought why not?
The Bosch 15735 works great on my car. FYI, my other sensor is a Bosch 13370, replaced 12,000 miles ago.
Installation details:
The Bosch universal sensors have a "posi-lock" connector that is supposed to make a waterproof, quick-connect seal. It seems to work, and while it was not too hard, it was a little more tedious than the package made it appear. You have to cut wires and strip them (easy if you have a decent wire stripper tool) and then install the special connectors. If you want details on the installation, they do have instructions on the web.
