A/C Recharge - only hi port on saabs?

I remember a while back someone at a local shop mentioning that Saabs only had a hi-port for their A/C system, and that hooking it up to guages/refilling them required a special splitter hose/guage. Is that true on the NG's? I've read on here that they have the low side near the battery...but my Audi (1992 100CS Q converted to R134) only had a low side on it and required a special tool from what I recall to get high pressure readings.
I wouldn't mind if it was only a low side I could locate (because at least I can try to refill it), but is there such a thing as a 'hi port only' Saab? Maybe classics with R12?
