you probably don't even need to pull it out to clean it - just open the hood and hose it down. Once you get most of the coolant out, the engine heat will dry it on your next drive. I had the same issue after a coolant leak on my '96 900SEt. I managed to get most of the coolant out just by spraying the insulation down.
