I recently purchased a 1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo. The car had a few A/C leaks and the previous owner just opted to have the system recharged at the beginning of each summer. The charge lasted through the season, so it wasn't a major concern. I live in a much warmer climate than the previous owner, so I inquired about having the problem fixed. He took the car in, had the leak fixed, and now everything is perfect. This was less than a month ago and the total for fixing the system, recharging it, so on and so forth was $870 and some change. For my lifestyle, climate, etc., having the leak fixed was worth every cent...that may be different for you, though. Regardless, good luck in whatever you decide, drive safely, and KEEP ON SAABING!!!
