CITGO 93 octane: 9-5 Aero would not get on full boost without a gagging feeling. Next tank of Amoco 93 octane and things were back to perfect. Fuel for both from Port Huron MI.. north of Detroit. CITGO fuel did provide the same MPGs as the Amoco fuel.
Kansas to Ontario border. Got 33+ MPGs on most legs of the trip with side or rear quarter winds. Last leg was 34.5 with tail wind. Three trips from Sarnia to Detroit air port had excellent MPGs. Filled about 25 miles west of Mississipi and then needed to fill about 20 miles west of Port Huron. So almost a one tank run there.
Port Huron to Kansas, 888 miles non-stop. Side and head winds, 32.4 MPGs to just east of Mississippi. I wanted to do St. Clair river to the Mississippi on one tank, but blasting through storms and hail kept killing my range. Almost made it but another storm just before the river so I filled up (17.77 gal) before hitting it. That river to river run is 603 miles, so I needed a 600+ mile tank. SID said that I would make it... but I needed to see more margin in DTE. After St. Louis the winds and storms stopped and MPGs recovered in the next 5 hours to 32.7 for the whole trip.
All of the MPGs seem great. My calculated MPGs on the fill up near St. Louis was 31.42 MPGs or 4% lower than the SID indicated. I don't make such checks as a rule. I think the ODO readings are a bit off or 'conservative'. So hard to tell whats right.
Speeds were 65+5 and 70+5 true. (my indicated speeds are +2.5mph)
Total trip was 2686 miles.
I have '*clipped' BCPR7ES11 plugs and this is my first fill of M1 5W40. I would not be surprised if this oil has helped MPGs, it did as Delvac 1 with my 95SET VS M1 10W30.

* corners of ground electrode rounded off to reduce quenching effect of electrode on the flame kernel. Certainly does not appear to have done any harm.
