Bucking "Mostly on deceleration" Code 1171 Running Lean Posted by ken [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I'm pretty close to frustration overload and need to see if anyone can help. I have a 1996 900SE 2.0L 16V. The car jerks/bucks in all gears and happens mainly during deceleration. When I start to accelerate it goes away. The idle spikes to around 2000-2500 RPM often during startup and when placed in nuetral. It never stays high after a second or two it will come back down to 900-1000RPM. It's gotten really bad and I almost feel like I'm riding a bull. I do get a CEL reading "Running Lean". This is all I have tried so far. Replaced the vacuum lines, PCV, Cleaned Fuel Injectors, Idle Control Valve, Coolant temp sensor, front O2 Sensor, Direct Ignition Coil (Related to a previous misfire problem), Boost control valve, and throttle position sensor, and the ECM (Computer). There does seem to be a little play in the throttle cable line but I don't think that would cause what I'm experiencing. I am wondering if it could be the Air Intake Temperature Sensor, MAP Sensor, EVAP Purge Valve? Why doesn't Saab codes isolate to a specific component.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!
