My dad just got a 1998 ng900... It had a messed up tire and needed to replace them before the blew (large missing part of rubber on the rear tire). I recomended Nokian. He just got his $580 tires on the car and took it down for an alignment. I was not there, but I gess the guy said he could not get it to spec because there is no adjustment... Here is his initial reading (he never had the guy finish)
----Front tires-----
Caster +1.68L +1.84R ( min +1.68 max +2.60 )
Camber -1.08L -1.40R ( min -1.00 max +0.00 ) ** this was there issue
Toe in +1/16L +1/8R ( min +1/32 max +1/32 )
SAI no reading ( +13.12)
----Rear Tires----
Camber -1.92L -1.92R ( min -2.16 max -1.16 )
Toe in 0.00L 0.00R ( min -1/32 max +1/16 )
My dad called Houstan Dealer and they want $100 to diagnose and $100 per hour to fix... - Ouch....
I told my dad there is a cheeper way. - I just did timeing chain, ball joints, tranny rebuild, engine rebuild, engine mounts, etc on my c900 so I guess I am a DIYer :-)
Is this a mount issue. Do the joints need to be replaced. The suspension is way different than the c900's - there are no shimms to adjust the camber???
Your help apriciated. Thanks
Adam
