Anders - Can you confirm "short' belt length....

I recently did the short belt conversion because I had some bearing noise. The new upper idler pulley (Saab #4356127) helped eliminate some of the noise. I have not been able to isolate the 'extra' noise in the serpentine belt area. I am beginning to suspect the water pump is starting to go out, but it is not weeping yet.
Anyway, I used the belt Dean suggested, 970K6, which crossed to a NAPA #060970 belt (really a Gates belt made for NAPA) or a Dayco Poly Cog #5060970, both of which are 6 rib, 21mm x 2480mm (97-5/8 inches).
The new belt seems to work just fine; I am just interested in what length you routinely use(and why). From your previous posts, I gather it is either a 2470mm or 2460mm length Contiental belt. I want to get another belt and idler on hand for the future and thought I would inquire as to your preference.
