Changed front pads now brakes are soft(long)

I just replaced my front pads and now brakes are soft. I feel that the action is lower on the pedal.
I used Mintex pads from Eeuroparts.com.
Do they take 100mi to bed-in? Maybe that is my issue.
When I did pads on C900 it did not feel this soft. I used PBR Deluxe. Are Mintex particularly hard? I sanded pads a little before I put them on.
The only thing I can think of besides brakes bedding-in is possible air in system.
When I put pads in I forgot to open the brake fluid resevoir and when I pushed the brake piston in I heard squirting noise. Fluid was forced out of the resevoir vent. I dropped the plyers and lept to unscrew the cap. Do you think the piston pushed itself back out and sucked air into the system so now I have air bubbles?
I guess I will just wait a while and see. Any help appreciated.
