Inside wear is often from excessive camber. But as you cannot adjust it, it is not prone to changing by itself either. Could the strut mounts have decayed? Control arm to SF bushing(s() bad?
I do not know if excessive toe-in would cause such wear, that can be checked and corrected.
The camber can be changed a little bit by slotting the six strut mount holes. A few have done this. Certainly not routine or broadly required. Lowering springs do change camber.
On some vehicles the alignment angles are more extreme on the rear axle and that is where thing start to go bad for the tires.
