At this mileage your strut mounts are about shot as are control arm and tie rod bushings. The konis should be fine as they are quite durable, but don't know what else was done, if anything when the Konis were replaced. I have Konis on the rear of my car, and they can be adjusted from very soft (car just wallows uncontrollably) to damn near lock out hard (you will need a kidney belt). So if you have all the way soft this could contibute to the vaugeness in steering. Mine are happiest at midpoint, I suggest you set yours at midpoint and give this a try first. Hope you have the little tool to adjust them, or a pliers will work. Make sure they are adjusted the same from side to side. This should make things much better.
The rattle is likely from a exhaust heat shield or possible broken bracket and not related to suspension.
