I just took a look at it, and the lower hose crosses the exhaust at the same height that the o2 sensor is located, just below the oil filter. There is a good bit of space between the hose and the exhaust, but like i said it crosses below the manifold and goes past the first piece of exhaust pipe. The piece of radiator tubing has a 90deg bend close to where it connects to the radiator on the left side, and then going towards the right has another bend, just to the right of the center of the fan on the back of radiator. also the radiator hose is in front of the in/out hoses from the ac compressor, in other words the in/out of ac comp. are between the rad hose and the engine.
perhaps your new rad hose has different bends or bend locations, if you had it backwards it would deffinately look wrong. I hope my descreption is clear. and i hope it helps.
