Hi TML,
The surest way to test your DV (diverter valve, a.k.a. bypass valve) is with a small, hand-held vacuum pump like the Sears model or the Mity Vac. Attach it to the small (3mm?) nipple at the top of the DV & pump up to maybe 15 in/hg & see if it holds for 30 seconds. Alternately, you can attach a piece of new hose & try sucking on it to see if it leaks (I've not tried this method). I think this probably works for larger leaks, but maybe not for smaller ones.
I've thrown in a direct link to Forge, & they should be able to help you. Tell them how you're set up for boost & they'll match a spring to your needs. Or, add the tuning/spring kit if you think you'll want to play around with it yourself. The link takes you directly to the Saab-specific FMDVS007P. You can poke around their site from there.
