I found it tough to track down this part. It is called many names:
Secondary Air Injection Valve
Air Pump Switch Valve (at eEuroparts.com)
Air SO Valve (from the Saab package)
Air Switching Valve (at thesaabsite.com)
The Saab OEM part number is #4228011 for the NG900. I found mine at eEuroparts.com for a good price (half of the dealer's!). $29 USD
Thanks SWEDECAR for your notes -- it got the job done!
Installation: There are 3 hose connections; 2 are large (about 1/2 in), and 1 on top which is a regular vacuum hose (1/8 in?). Make sure to tighten the hose clamps down around the 2 retainer tabs connecting the valve to the frame. [1 tab would probably be OK.]
My old valve had shattered, so it took a while to find where the end of the vacuum hose had lodged. The car sounded like it needed a new muffler when starting up -- what a racket it made until warmed up. A very easy job for anyone to do.
