Dirty headlight lenses and OEM bulbs make for a miserable night drive. There are lot lot of aftermarket 9003 type bulbs out there that are lots brighter than stock without violating the law. It can be as simple as going to the local auto parts store and picking up a pair of Phillips Xtra Vision, PIAA or Osram/Sylvania Silver Stars (Cool Blues didn't do much). I have the Silver Stars in both of my Saabs. They are 15-20.00 each. There are others better or even cheaper available on the web. I find these bulbs last about 3/4 the life of a regular bulb, but you will appreciate the added brightness. Change one out and see the difference. I would clean out the inside of the headlight glass first to get the most out of your new bulbs.
