It wasn't the width alone of the 17 inch rims/tires (Gary Fisher Edition Quad 3 Spokes) but rather the fact that the previous owner of my 1997 900SE broke the bolt that held the fuel filler neck tight against the car. The hole is small and I have covered it more than a few times with duct tape as a quick fix. The duct tape doesn't last more than a fill up however and now I am looking for a permenent solution short of replacing the whole neck. Marine Epoxy? Any tips? The hole is about the size of a thumbnail.
Thanks for the help,
Nicholas
