But as for the amp adaptor it has already been done. I have one that I picked up at a local audio store a few years back. As it turns out, Alpine used a connection much like what is on the Saab head unit for their pre-amp outs. It has all the same connections but the only difference is that it links the fade from front to back into one RCA signal. Not a big deal... It may be easier to just order the alpine unit since it is around $15, already built and works. (all you have to do is mod the DIN connector to make it 90 deg rather than come strait out, easy)
I had posted this info on the board a few years ago when I found the part. Let me know if you need more info but I think I have trashed the box with the PN for the alpine unit. (I found it to work after a day of digging through different DIN pin adapters for random makes of head units and with the Saab radio wiring schematic from this site and a multimeter.)
