Wet passenger side floor, A/C woes, HELP!

Hello! Thanks for any advice, it's much appreciated!
My '95 900 SE-t with ACC had A/C problems recently, the evaporator has been replaced, as well as the control module. I drove the car only on relatively short stints untill this weekend, A/C was reasonnably cold, but not great. Well, this weekend, on a 3hr trip, about 1 hr through the A/C became weaker, until about halfway through the trip, it was simply blowing in outside air (that it hot and damn humid). As my girlfriend picked up her purse leaving the car, she noticed it was really quite wet, and that the floor was pretty soaked (rain is not a possiblitiy, nor is water infiltration, given recent weather conditions here in Montreal). Next day, A/C was cold again for about 1hr and then again became very weak until it was no longer cool, no water/leak this time though. Could the repair job on the evaporator be responsible for the leak, and is the leak or lack of water evacuation responsible for the progressively disfunctionnal A/C?
Nothing like a good old american car for ice cold A/C. Even my parents' 9-5 Aero has relatively weak A/C, common trait in all SAABs? Should I expect weaker still performance from a 9 year old car?
Thanks again!
Richard
