I have a 95 900S (car did not originally have a changer). I bought the car in January, and got the clarion 635 in June. I went to install, fairly simple, just cut back the carpet and find the plug, but the headunit has not recognized the changer. (I've even tried all of the fuse tricks). Apparently, some of the clarion headunits have a faulty chip (whatever chip reads/recognizes the changer). I believe this was covered under warrenty, however, if the car didn't have a cd changer one wouldn't know the chip was faulty. I believe Clarion will fix the headunit for a price. I also believe Saab Radio will refurbish/fix the unit for about $95. Me - I've been too busy to solve the problem yet, but hopefully, you won't have a faulty headunit!
