XM Radio dilemma, what to do?

So I have the old Sony Plug and Play XM Radio receiver in my 1997 900S and I also have the home docking station, but since I bought that Etadyne aux-in cable for my 2004 9-3, I don't know whether to pull the stuff out of my 900 and reinstall into the 9-3 or to buy the new Delphi Roady II car version for $130 with a current offer of a free home kit. The other option is to buy another car docking kit for the Sony model for $80. I realize the Roady II has more functions, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra $50 up front, plus $10 a month extra. I'm not sure which, (the Delphi or the Sony) would install more seamlessy in the 9-3.
Any recommendations on what I should do?
TIA,
Atul
