I have been unable to find bulbs at retail from anyone but a dealer, and I refuse to pay almost $15/bulb. I found a wholesale bulb supplier through searching on the internet, but they have a 100 bulb minimum. Several different wattages are required, not only for SID, but in other applications such as the heater controls, etc. The price is right though, about $1/bulb. If enough of us could put an order together, buying at wholesale might be feasible. These bulbs come mounted in the plastic holders.
I have been able to jury rig replacements buying a bulb at Radio Shack. I remove the defective bulb from the plastic holder and replace it with the Radio Shack bulb. The bulb is actually smaller than the one that comes mounted in the plastic, but it works. Beats getting raped by the dealer!
