get the oil history
The flakey front suspention design was changed out in 95.5, so should not be in 1996.
But the suspension does need work to be right. I would count on the struts and upper mounts needed to be renewed unless evidence of renewal. You could do steering rack brace and some bushings at the same time.
Rear shocks too. Brakes and pads are easy. Rear calipers are prone to seizing. Pull rear rotors and inspect/clean/lube the parking brake system.

front lamp wipers work
oil pressure switch/lamp works
antenna works
SID dead pixels
power seat works
two alarm fobs and working, test arm - disarm
power locks
power windows
sun roof
wheels bent - many are
To pull the clutch, the trany comes out, partial drop of down pipe (don't bend the flex joint!), partial drop of subframe (perhaps)
Pull flywheel and fit new rear seal.
Pull the valve cover before purchase to inspect for sludge and crud.
