Fuel cuts with a ball-spring type MBC are to be expected. And it gets worse with cold weather and you then need to down-adjust. And you get boost taper or droop.

A MBC+A has none of that and it also allows the MBC to be fed from the throttle body. This eliminates boost taper. So you will get more boost and it will hold solid thru high RPMs. This solves all of the short falls of basic ball-spring MBCs. Jeff in ATL can provide the parts to get you from your current config to a MBC+A. I came up with the design concepts after a few years of work on a 95SET 5spd. Prior to that I had a MBC TB fed with a pneumo adjustable pop off valve to dump the pressure overshoots. That was a good proof of concept. Then my Saab was killed by a SUV. Worked with Jeff and he has implemented the MBC+A and reseached individual components. I can't do these things on my T7 9-5.

The MBC+A will take you a long way.

That been said, you need remove the turbo compressor discharge silencer and rework the TBTC. The exhaust system should be upgraded to a Saab Sports exhaust to reduce restriction. A Viggen IC helps a lot as well.

You would not want to stack a MBC and ECU mod without doing some of the above mods. A MBC with stock exhaust is not considered good or safe practice. And as you head in this direction, best octane pump gas, plugs, oil and filters become important.

I can assist in the install of a MBC+A in the KC area.
