I am in Lawrence KS, not far.
You have to watch those long distance relationships! I ended up moving from Canada to KS :)
Get some needle nose pliers on the hose bark and try pushing the hose off*. Might be easier on the WGA. Depend on whether you have a heat shield that might limit access.
*- a hose that resists coming off gets tighter as you pull it, like a chinese finger thingy. Pushing expands the hose and reduces its grip. Pushing from the end and twisting from the other side can do it.
Fouled plugs will limit boost and will misfire at a given level of boost.
If you are interesting in getting more power, this might work out well for you. As long as the engine is in a good state, it is very safe.
