I have the drawtite hitch and modulite setup, and have been very happy with it. The hitch is almost completely hidden under the rear bumper. All you see is the square receiver below the bumper. I don't say which modulite I have - I ordered online ( I think from a place called draw-titehitches.com?) and they specified which modulite was required. I also ordered the accessory wiring kit for the modulite.
I believe the modulite is a necessity. If you draw power from the tailights, it messes up the sensor that tells you if you have a light out.
The install was easy. The most difficult part was routing the power lead back from the battery. That took about 45 min. The total install took about 1 1/2 hours. I routed the power lead inside the car, at the glove box, and under the trim to the right side of the trunk. That way the wiring and modulite can be hidden under the trunk liner. I did have to splice the modulite leads, as the original left lead was short and the right lead was long. I needed a long left and short right. I ran the plug out the opening for the right rear taillight access, and I have enought lenght to run it out under the hatch and hook up to the trailer.
Total cost was about $160 or $170, as I recall - hitch, tongue and ball, wiring kit, modulite.
