My 94 V6 had 100k and just bent some valves due to crankshaft sprocket bolt. I am still deciding what to do. I have done everything recommended in maintenance handbook, and still have major engine self-destruction. Up til then I had been very satisfied, but a bolt just coming loose on its own kind of leaves bitter taste in my mouth. I am not sure If I will have a valve job done by indie, or try myself. or just dump it and get something new. It is a tough decision for sure, in your case of wanting long reliability, bill may have the right direction. as for me I am cheap, and enjoy getting in over my head with car engines. Not that I dont need reliability, but my other car is an 85 XJS V12. Highly unreliable.
