Your car will work with a BOV. The benefits of BOVs has been extensively debated. On one hand, the BOV does not recirculate heated air in the intake system. On the other hand, additional air is not available in the intake stream for pressurization. Your car will attract attention with the loud psssht sound from the BOV. Some folks complain over the noise.
To install the BOV, you also need a plug for the intake recirc tube to avoid ingestion of unfiltered air. Compatible BOVs mount into the 25mm rubber tube on your ICTB pipe.
Blitz, greddy, etc. type valves bolt onto a flange and will require an adapter for your application. VW/Audi 1.8t applications fit your Saab. Forge and Turbo XS valves are your best bet.
You can 'try out' whether you want a BOV by simply removing the recirc pipe between your stock dump valve and intake. You will get similar performance and sound effects. Do not go a long time this way as your car is ingesting unfiltered air.
