If you feel that the freeplay in clutch pedal is more than before, it is most likely the adjustment of cable that haven't kicked in properly.
I heard from another Saab mechanic that he press the pedal all the way to the floor and than just slide the foot off the pedal sidways and let the pedal spring back up by its own force.
That gives the cable and adjuster a shook up reminder to let it go back work again.
It might be a chance though that the cable breaks if already marginal, but it would have broken anyway in the very near future.
The other trick is to turn the steering wheel fully to the right and stick your hand in through the steering rod hole in inner fender, find and grab the clutch cable with your hand and jerk it slightly. If you hear a couple of clicks it means that the adjuster was out to lunch.
