Hey all,
Looking for a little input - On my '96 900SEt w/ 188k miles, I've got the white trash exhaust in full effect. I haven't had time to look under the car, but from previous inspections, I think that the flex pipe just behind the manifold has failed. ( #1 on most of the parts diagrams that I've looked at).
As it will take a few days for me to get parts in, will there be any negative effects from driving the car this way? I would suppose that there will be substantially less backpressure, due to the "free flowing" exhaust.
I've also got to drop a motorcycle off at the shop, 30 mi round trip, which involves towing a trailer on the car. Good idea, bad idea with the current ricer exhaust setup? Any thoughts?
Finally, looking to the future, and replacement of the rest of the exhaust (hopefully maintaining the stock cat) with the Saab Sport exhaust possibly, should I be aware of anything (compatibility, diameter, etc) when ordering the flex portion?
thanks
jesse
